Welcome to the website of the De Visser laboratory at the Division of Immunology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam.
We are interested in ‘Inflammation and Cancer’.
Current projects in the lab are aimed at addressing the role of the adaptive and innate immune system during spontaneous breast cancer metastasis formation,
understanding the cancer cell-intrinsic and –extrinsic processes underlying organ-specific metastasis formation, and addressing the influence of the immune system on efficacy of conventional anti-cancer therapies.
The lab had close collaborations with the lab of Jos Jonkers. The Jos Jonkers lab is specialized in generation and characterization of conditional mouse models for breast cancer.
